Doctrinal Statement

I believe the Bible, consisting of the 39 books in the Old Testament and the 27 books in the New Testament is the verbally inspired Word of God, and that it is inerrant and infallible.  It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.  I believe it to be sufficient for all things in all areas of life.  The Bible is the complete and final revelation concerning God's will for man.
Psalms 12:6-7, Psalms 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, 2Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 1:1-2, 2Peter 1:20-21, Revelation 22:18-19

I believe in one God that is eternally existent and equal in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  I believe that these three in one are perfect, infinite, and equal in all things past, present, and future.
1John 5:6-8

I believe God the Father is the Creator of all things.  He is infinite in knowledge, wisdom, and holiness.  His power cannot be measured.  He is supreme in His love.  He has always been concerned for the welfare of man.
Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 9:6, John 3:16

I believe Jesus Christ (God the Son) was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is a hypostatic union: 100% God and 100% man.  He is the only begotten Son of God, sinless, and always obedient to His Father.  Through His shed blood, He gave the only atonement for the sins of the world.  I believe in the resurrection of the actual crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension to Heaven, and His position as our high Priest and Mediator.
Matthew 1:18, John 1:1, John 1:14, John 1:29, John 20:28, Romans 3:25, 1Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:25

I believe that the Holy Ghost's work in regard to the unsaved is to convict them of their sin and unrighteousness.  His work in regard to the saved is spiritual baptism, sealing, indwelling (which are all done at salvation), and for the teaching and guiding of the believer.
Genesis 1:2, John 14:16-17, John 16:7-8, John 16:13-14, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13

I believe that man was created in the image of God.  The first man, Adam, was created innocent, but by willful transgression fell in to sin, sinking the whole human race into condemnation and death, so that all men are now born into sin and become accountable for their sin.  The entire human race is spiritually dead and in a depraved condition.  Man can do nothing to save himself apart from the regenerating power of the Holy Ghost.
Genesis 1:26, Psalms 51:5, Isaiah 64:6, John 3:5-6, Romans, 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1

I believe the only escape from the condemnation of sin, death, and the everlasting fires of Hell is through the redeeming, saving blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, which He shed on the cross of Calvary.  He satisfied the justice demanded by God for the sins of man.  Salvation is on the grounds of "grace alone" to all the possess true Biblical repentance for sins committed against God, along with the belief and confession that Jesus Christ is the resurrected Son of God.  Once a person is truly saved, that person is kept by the same power that saved him, the power of God.
Luke 13:5, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13, Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Hebrews 9:22, 1Peter 1:5, 1John 5:13

I believe in the local church consisting of born again believers that have been scripturally baptized for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission.  The work of the church is to worship God, preach the Scriptures, defend the faith, and observe the ordinances.  There are two ordinances given to the church: water baptism and the Lord's Supper.  These are the only ordinances for the New Testament church.
Matthew 16:18, Matthew 26:26-28, Matthew 28:19-20, John 3:23, Acts 2:47, Acts 8:36-37, Acts 20:28, Romans 6:3-4, 1Corinthians 11:23-29, Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 4:11-12

I believe in the bodily, personal, pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, imminent coming of our Lord in the air to receive His Church (all born again believers) in the air; this will be the first event to take place of the end times.  The church is mentioned in Revelation chapters 1-3 but is not mentioned again until Revelation 19:7.  This will be followed by a seven year period known as the tribulation.  Following the tribulation there will be the return of Christ with His Church to rule the nations and set up His kingdom on this earth for 1,000 years.  After the millennial reign will come the Great White Throne Judgment for those whose names are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life, they will be cast into the lake of fire along with death, Hell, the Antichrist, and the false prophet.  Finally all born again believers will be with Christ for all eternity, where there will be no end.
